external images missing

steven Aug 24, 2016 08:29PM AEST

A few months ago I created my comic with "keep images external to the document" option checked.
Now when I want to continue the comic, all images is missing. I know the images is there but its just not in the same path directory like before.

How can I find out the images path in comiclife is pointing to? So i can move all the external images to the specific directory?

If its not possible to find out in the program, how can I open the project file in notepad++ (or other similar program) to check out the path?

Hi Steven,

When you load the comic, a warning should appear saying “Some warnings occurred. Would you like to review them now?”. Click Review.
Or go to Window > Show Document Warnings.

You will then be presented with a window showing the missing images.

You can then either manually put the images back in the correct place, or click the “Find Image” button, and navigate to the folder where the images are now located and click the “Find Image” button.

Then if you don’t want it to happen again, and import the images into the project, go to File > Consolidate Comic…

Hope this helps,
