Text incorrectly rendered after Mac file imported.

Ryan Dika Mar 31, 2016 11:34PM AEDT

I saved, dropboxxed, and imported a file from Comic Life 3.5.1 on the Mac to Comic Life 3.5.1 on iOS and encountered a problem. The painstakingly fitted text in the captions and balloons no longer fit. Almost all balloons and captions had + boxes to indicate text had been pushed out.
I had spent a while adjusting the variety, the margins and the exact width of these balloons to get the text just right, so why is it not working after the transfer to iOS?

Hello there Ryan.

Thanks for contacting us.

Apple has two different text layout implementations on Mac and iOS and those cause minor changes to occur unfortunately.

You may work on it on your iPad, and then when you go back to Mac, just go through and make sure all the balloons/captions are formatted correctly and resize where necessary, before exporting.

Or if you’re regularly moving between the two platforms then being a bit more generous on spacing might help avoid the layout changes.

Sorry for the inconvenience.
